The Mountain Adventure Company has grown out of Bruce Goodlad’s private guiding business and due to the loyal support of clients over the years we have now expanded to share our philosophy with more mountain enthusiasts.
Bruce Goodlad, director of the company, has been climbing and mountaineering in the UK and around the world for over 17 years, since leaving school, and has worked full time in the mountains since 1995. Bruce has instructed and guided all over the UK, Europe, Russia, Nepal and Antarctica. His love for the mountains and mountain adventures embraces all aspects of mountaineering, climbing, skiing and biking year-round.
The Mountain Adventure Company uses exclusively IFMGA qualified guides in the Alps. This international qualification is the highest level attainable in mountaineering, which guarantees the technical ability and attention to safety of anyone who will be guiding you in the mountains.
However, the badge alone is not enough to work for us, a sense of fun, a passion for mountaineering and for sharing that with people of all abilities are essential parts of the package.
We offer a range of Mountain Adventures and Private Guiding throughout the Alps all year round. Unlike many operators we will not ask you to share your holiday with people you do not know. Our experience has shown that this often leads to a disparity of abilities and disappointment for all concerned.
An important part of our service is a flexible approach, which is why we insist on small groups, so if the weather and conditions are bad where we meet we will be able to move elsewhere to where they are best for you.
Our Mount Elbrus trips use very experienced Russian guides who Bruce has skied and climbed with. They know the Caucasus intimately and will give a unique insight into the mountains and Russian culture.
If you can’t find something you like on the website, please get in touchand we will help you achieve your goal.
Bruce is proud to be supported by Haglofs, manufacturers of outstanding outdoor equipment.
