Piz Palu
Mark Dearnley was out this week, the weather was looking better out east so we drove across to the Bernina on Sunday. We started the week climbing the NE ridge on the Spazzacaldera, then climbed the super exposed Fiamma. On Tuesday we dodged the showers and walked into the Boval hut ready to traverse the Piz Morteratsch to the Tscherva hut. Thursday was a superb day, we traversed the Piz Bernina via the Biancograt in perfect conditions to the Marco Rosa hut. We finished the week traversing the Piz Palu one of the best PD routes I have climbed.
