Winter Trees above Chamonix
With a good fall of fresh snow over the past 10 days some of the high alpine ski area have managed to open.
Cervinia has 16 pistes open and Jon Bracey reports good conditions on and off piste, he skinned up the Breithorn which he said was in great condition has 9 pistes open, Tigne has all the lifts running above the Funicular, Les Diabletets has Glacier 3000 open which is great for cross country but a bit flat for down hill skiing. Verbier has limited opening at weekends through November. Zermatt has 9 pistes open.
